In August 2013, after successful IEC 61850 conformance tests - level A on 13 protection relays manufactured by VAMP Ltd. - member of Schneider Electric, our customer from Finland received new conformance certificates issues by KEMA Nederland BV on behalf of the UCA IUG (VAMP 257 and VAMP 259, VAMP 5x series, VAMP2xx series).

In all certified devices the IEC 61850 server interface was implemented by INFO TECH using the INFO TECH IEC 61850 Software Library. Compared to products versions from 2011, the data models and the sets of supported communication services were extended. The tests were carried by KEMA testers hosted in the INFO TECH premises in Gdansk during 22-30 July 2013.

In the beginning of May 2013 INFO TECH released a new version of the IEC 61850 communication testing toolset.

The 61850 Avenue 2.0 tool package includes a completely new version of the IEC 61850 client program (supporting the configuration from SCL files, maintaining communication with multiple server devices, presenting data model and services in accordance with 7-2 ACSI), an advanced protection relay simulation program with IEC 61850 server + GOOSE and file transfer support, GOOSE testing tools, Sampled Values communication testing tools, and File Transfer testing tool. Customers who purchased 61850 Avenue licenses can receive an upgrade to version 2.0 with a significant price discount.

By December 2012 the licenses to our IEC 61850 server and IEC 61850 client libraries or dedicated target solutions implemented by INFO TECH have been acquired by already 15 companies and research organizations from 7 countries located on 3 continents: Europe, Asia and North America.

After successful conformance testing in July 2012 VAMP 321 Arc Protection device manufactured by our customer from Finland received the IEC 61850 Conformance Certificate - Level B from KETOP Lab in China.

This is the next certified IEC 61850 server solution based on the INFO TECH source code library, implemented by INFO TECH team upon an order from VAMP Ltd. - a member of Schneider Electric.
