During week 49 of 2016 the UCA IEC 61850 Edition 2 conformance test of Schneider Electric protection relay VAMP 57 was successfully carried on at INFO TECH premises by DNV GL (former KEMA) with the assistance of our team. The implementation of the IEC 61850 communication interface was done by INFO TECH based on INFO TECH IEC 61850 Software Library. The certificate of the IEC 61850 conformance Level A was issued on the 9th of December 2016. 

Previously, in April 2015 VAMP 57 relay passed the UCA IEC 61850 Edition 1 conformance test. Due to market requirements the implementation was upgraded to support also Edition 2 of the standard.

Our record of IEC 61850 implementations in customer products which passed the UCA IEC 61850 conformance tests carried on by various accredited laboratories includes already 19 devices.

During the year 2016 INFO TECH organized one open IEC 61850 training course in Gdańsk and 5 private IEC 61850 training sessions at customers premises.

We are looking forward to offer such services also during the year 2017. It will be an opportunity to learn the standard in a practical way, being guided by the authors of its implementation in the INFO TECH source code library and in more than 20 different automation products.

During the year 2016 INFO TECH team accomplished IEC 61850 conformance tests for 8 products of our customers. The results of these tests allowed our customers to improve their implementations and minimize the risk of problems during system integration. We are also very pleased that our customers regarded the test performed by INFO TECH as a safe step towards an application for the UCA conformance certificate.

Our experts performed also three audits of the installed automation systems based on the IEC 61850 and other protocols. Our services allowed the system integrators to save time of troubleshooting and speed up the system deployment to meet the expectations of investors.

During the year 2016 INFO TECH team accomplished implementations of the IEC 61850 interface for 5 customers. The work scope covered client, server and GOOSE communications. All of our development project services have been based on the licensed source code of INFO TECH IEC61850 Software Library.
